This picture is of me\nholding the winner's trophy at my running club's handicap race in\n2015. The way a handicap race works is the the slower runners\nstart before the faster runners according to how each has been\nrunning the previous several months. In theory, each runner has\nan equal chance to win the race. In each of the previous two\nyears, I came in second, but in 2015, I finally won. I am\nrunning faster this year. The handicapping committee tries very hard to give previous winners a very stiff handicap to assure no repeat winners.
